Adidas Gazelle Inspired UI Elements Library

For the Retro UI Elements Library project, we were asked to pick from a list of retro brands to develop our own UI Elements Library. I decided to take on the Adidas Gazelle's and learn more about their history. Retro style is a style that incorporates old-fashioned motifs, trends, and objects from a particular era. It can be applied to many different areas. Retro graphic design can include vintage-inspired elements, old-school fonts, and decorative illustrations that evoke nostalgia and trigger strong emotional ties to a product or design of the past. Retro web design can revive past trends to add liveliness and flair to a site and resonate with viewers' emotions.

My original problem I was trying to take were the types of elements I would be uses and making sure there were plently of options for all of them. The types of elements we needed to include were in-put elements, out-put elements, and helper elements.

My solution to this project was creating Adidas inspired toggle switches, directional arrows, buttons, scrolls, loading screens, and mock ups. I looked at many of the colors adidas used in their shoe designs which helped me develop my color pallet and create something that is modern with retro elements.
