Album Art

For the Album Art assignment, we were asked to combine images, elements, and typography to create an album cover and backing for a playlist. We were also asked to create an animated gif version of our album to create a dynamic cover.

The problem I was trying to solve was making an album cover that was cohesive and matched the mood of the music.The music on the playlist had a 'chill' vibe and reminded me of doing homework in my room.

My strategy was to design a girl sitting in her room doing homework and have the light of a computer screen illuminate onto her face. My approach supports this strategy because the art matches the mood or vibe of the music and even takes the viewer somewhere familiar yet also surreal.
