Amtrak Train Station Schedule

This project dealt with information design, information architecture, and typographic hierarchy. We were asked to redesign the Crescent Amtrak Train Schedule in a way that made it easier and faster to read and comprehend.

The original problem I was trying to solve was what the information on the old schedule (featured last at the bottom ) meant and what was needed on the new version of the schedule.

My strategy was to separate the northbound route from the southbound route so they each had their own order from top to bottom all while staying on one page. I also got rid of any unnecessary symbols and replaced them with lists and instructions instead. My approach supports this strategy because the schedule is now less busy to look at and highlights the more important parts of the schedule while having an aesthetically pleasing design.
