Snowboard Decks

The objective of the Snowboard Deck assignment was to create 3 snowboards including a top and bottom side while having a different overall theme for each board. We were also advised to used different softwares for each board to give us more experience with different programs.

The problem I was trying to solve with this project was creating a cohesive style for each individual snowboard.

My strategy was to base each snowboards theme on different color pallets. For the first snowboard, pictured below, I wanted something that was vibrant so I decided to use a bright blue mixed with a vivid orange. To tie it all together I used a bold typeface to correspond with the bold colors used. For the second snowboard, pictured right and below, I wanted something more subtle so I turned to using pinks and purples. I wanted the boards background to look similar to a winter sunset and then I went in and added geometric triangles to represent mountains. To finish it up, I added a bold font to keep that bold snowboard vibe riders love. Lastly, for the final snowboard, I created something geometric using procreate which is primarily black and white with pops of color.
